To be sure a simple argument but to a certain degree it makes sense. There are many more factors, like that Layton needs to stop talking about “working families” but the fact that there is nowhere to broadcast the indignation, outrage or political condescension rightfully earned by the NDP does probably hurt them….also new colours please!
A point- even I’m not stupid enough to vote for the Federal New Democrats anymore, and they are probably the only major party that comes close to representing my politics. I’d almost write in Nader at this point. Hey, free hummous recipe, right? Don’t even start me on their British Columbia politics. All I can do is look at the Olympics disaster and thank Dog they’re not in power.
Tangent #1 I think if they agreed to run just one Skytrain car off the incomplete track in Richmond, total monster-truck-watch-things-‘splode style, and let people come and watch, that a certain segment of the population (me) would feel less antipathy towards the 2010 games.
